District Nursing Service

The aim of the District Nursing Service is to provide an easily accessible responsive service, which meets the identified nursing needs of individuals and their carers within their own environment.  The District Nursing Service is available in Blackburn with Darwen, East Lancashire and Central Lancashire.

Health Visiting

Our healthy family team will arrange to visit you at home to provide information and support on your antenatal care and the care of your baby and young children. In the first few months we will assess your baby’s growth and development providing information or referral to another professional for any issues that arise. Later we will assess your young child’s development and readiness for school.

The team also provides advice at our local baby clinics and are available by phone between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday
